How IGT's Network Works
IGT MegaJackpots are wide-area progressives that span every licensed IGT operator within a given regulatory jurisdiction. Each pot is fed by a small percentage of every wager placed across the entire network — so a Cleopatra MegaJackpot spin in New Jersey contributes to the same pool as a Cleopatra spin in the UK, provided both operators are connected to the same regulated server. Unlike Microgaming's randomly triggered wheel, IGT's MegaJackpot is awarded via a bonus round entry: you must trigger the jackpot bonus during normal play, then make a selection on a pick-screen to reveal which tier you've won. There are typically four tiers, with the headline Mega seeded between $1M and $1.5M depending on the title.
